Agriya opens its doors to the public

Agriya, the 88-hectare mixed-use project of Damosa Land in Panabo City, has finally opened its doors to the general public at its actual site in Barangay New Pandan last February 13, 2020.

The event was graced by members of the Floirendo family, executives and employees of the Anflo Group of Companies, officials from the local government unit of Panabo City, and members of the national and local media. The night’s guest of honor was the Department of Tourism secretary Ms. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, who flew in straight from Manila and led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of Agriya’s landmark silo and the unveiling of its master plan.

Everyone present were welcomed to a walking tour of Naturetainment, the agritourism component of Agriya that was simultaneously launched during the event.

The site transformed into a contemporary farm where the attendees were garbed in modern Filipiniana attires. A delectable merienda cena and dinner buffet of Filipino cuisine were also served as folk dancers and singers kept the audience entertained. The guests took home loot bags made of the native bayong and picked among the display of fruits, vegetables, and plantlets at the makeshift market stall setup.

Agriya is touted to be the first agricultural metropolis in the Davao region and the next tourist destination in Mindanao.
