ANFLOCOR competes in 7th Don AOF Cup

The most awaited annual sports event of the ANFLO Group kicked off its seventh year with the theme “Through Sports, We Rise and Thrive Together” on November 19, 2019 at the TADECO gymnasium. Hundreds of employees from all the affiliate companies flocked to the venue to participate in the events and support their athletes.


Each year, TADECO hosts the AOF Cup to promote sportsmanship and to strengthen group-wide camaraderie to be in line with the company’s core values of high competence and unity.


Mr. Vincent R. Floirendo, President for Agri Operations, imparted to the audience his message, “I would like to thank everyone for doing their best this year. Focus on your games and good luck to everyone. Each year gets more competitive.”


The oath of sportsmanship was led by Mr. Restituto V. Granada Jr., SAVP for Production Division in TADECO. The lighting of the torch was passed along by Mr. Jomar Bacalso and Mr. Rexel Aguirre, both renowned triathlon athletes from TADECO, followed by the declaration of opening of the tournament by Mr. Alexis P. Cantil, FVP for Agri Operations. Representatives from each participating affiliate carried their team banners with pride during the banner presentation. The DMX Comvaleños, a group of world-class talents from Davao del Norte, performed to the audience’s delight their signature hip hop moves. The highly anticipated Chan-dance competition took the centerstage where ten teams showcased their dance and cheering prowess complemented by their flamboyant costumes and props. The Support Services of TADECO bagged the championship title followed by ANFLOCOR (1st Runner-up) and District 4 (2nd Runner-up). The other main events of the Cup - basketball, volleyball, softball, bowling, table and lawn tennis, badminton, and track events began their first sets of games in the afternoon.


ANFLOCOR won first place in volleyball (Women), badminton (Men’s Doubles, Executives’ Single Women, and Executives’ Doubles Women) and table tennis (Supervisor Up).


The Don AOF Cup culminated on December 14, 2019 and District 1 rose to the Top as the Overall champion.
